Urinary symptoms
Burning, urgency, or symptoms that keep coming back?
Start with a clinical assessment. Your doctor reviews your history and decides whether a urine test or treatment is appropriate.
You might be noticing
- Burning or discomfort when passing urine
- Needing to go urgently or more often
- Symptoms that return after a course of antibiotics
- Cloudy or strong-smelling urine
How your visit works
Four clear steps.
- 1
Clinical assessment
A video consultation with your dedicated doctor, who reviews your history and current symptoms.
- 2
Testing only if indicated
A test is arranged only if the result would change what your doctor recommends.
- 3
Results explained, plan agreed
Your doctor explains what any findings mean and recommends or prescribes treatment.
- 4
Coordinated follow-up
With your consent, a visit summary is shared with your local doctor.
About testing
What each test actually does.
Your doctor decides which test, if any, would change your care.
- Urinalysis (dipstick)
- A quick screen for signs of infection or inflammation. It does not identify the bacteria.
- Urine culture
- Grows the bacteria to identify them and shows which antibiotics are likely to work.
- Molecular (PCR) testing
- Detects genetic material from specific organisms. A different test with a different purpose — used only when your doctor thinks it would help.
